The American Corner Skopje was officially opened in January 2005.
The purpose of the American Corner Skopje is to provide free
information to the general public about the United States through books,
magazines, DVDs and complimentary access to the Internet. Besides
serving primarily as a resource center, the American Corner Skopje
hosts a wide variety of events, such as:

In the field of education, we provide student advising for studying in the U.S. and we organize events with Fullbright scholars. The American Corner Skopje serves as an alumni center where Macedonian citizens who have been to the United States on exchange programs can gather, share their experiences with locals, keep in touch with each other and with their American contacts.
American Corner Skopje is supported by the U.S. Department of State and administered through the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Skopje.

Kiril Nedelkovski is currently studying at FON University - Faculty for detectives and security in Skopje and he is in the last year of his studies. Since November 2017, he is working at the Municipality of Centar-Skopje at the Public Affairs section and at the American Corner Skopje as a Resource Center Specialist. He attended several seminars and trainings on political education organized by Progress Institute for Social Democracy.
Tanja Paneva holds MA degree in Political Science (International Relations and Diplomacy) and BA in Political Science obtained at the Faculty of Law, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje. After graduating she has worked as Program Assistant on various projects from the development, education and election monitoring sphere.She is supportive of organizations that deal with environmental protection and animal welfare.
Besar Bekir has finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Ss. Cyril Methodius in the department of Political Science & International Relations. Before this experience at AC Skopje, he has been working as an intern at the NDI office in Skopje. He is an Alumni member of the MIRAI program 2019 Western Balkans meet Japan: A Bridge into the Future that promotes mutual understanding and reconciliation through intellectual and cultural exchange.
